Shipping Mode Configuration: By Weight

The By Weight mode calculates shipping costs based on the total weight of the order.

To use this mode, you need to configure weight ranges inside your shipping zones.

In this section you will find information about:

• Price configuration (within shipping zones)
• Product preparation
• Weight calculation logic for reward sets

Price configuration (within shipping zones)

1. Go to Project Settings > Shipping and Taxes > Shipping Zones.

   
   

   

   
   

2. Select the name of the zone you want to edit to open its price configuration.

   
   

   

   
   

3. Add weight ranges and set the shipping cost for each range.

   Use Add a weight range to include more package weights.

   
   

   

   
   

4. All configured Shipping Models appear above the ranges, so you can adjust prices for each model at the same time.

   
   

   

   
   
   

Note:

If you create ranges such as 3, 5, and 10 kg, they cover these intervals

• 0 to 2.99 kg
• 3 to 4.99 kg
• 5 to 9.99 kg

If order exceeds 9.99 kg of weight, system will treat it as more than one package and will calculate weight of second and subsequent packages using the weight ranges again.

Product preparation

Each reward and add on needs to use the correct calculation type.

1. Open the product shipping tab.

   
   

   

   
   
2. Enter the weight for the item.

3. Select By weight in the shipping calculation mode list.

   
   

   

Weight calculation logic for reward sets

For products that belong to a reward set:

• When you enter weights for individual items but not for the full set, the system adds the item weights together
• When you enter a weight for the full set, the set weight takes priority and replaces the sum of the items
