Pledging as a Guest
You can skip signing in. Under Continue as a guest, select Continue without an account, then enter your email.
You get essential updates by email. Create an account later to manage your Gamefound activity in one place. Guest pledges don’t qualify for follower gifts or discounts.
Pledge on Gamefound without creating an account. Choose Pledge as a guest at checkout and enter your email address.
Note: Gamefound uses that email to link your order and send updates.

What to expect
- Checkout stays familiar. You skip account creation.
- You get the key emails about your pledge, like confirmations and payment updates. Some email buttons open checkout instead of Your pledge.
- Your pledge counts as any other pledge on the project.
What works as a guest
- Place an order using your email address.
- Use any payment option offered by the project, including instant payment, deferred payment, and installments.
- Place more than one order in the same project, even with the same email address.
If you already have a Gamefound account
Guest checkout still works. After you sign in, your order shows up in your account under the same email address.
When you need an account
Create a Gamefound account and sign in when you want to edit an order, for example, to:
- add items
- change your payment method
- change your shipping address
Use the same email address you used at checkout. That keeps your orders linked to your account.
Create an account after you pledge
Want to manage your pledge in one place? Create a Gamefound account with the same email you used at checkout.
After you sign in, Gamefound shows your linked orders. You can also see your backer number and badge for projects you pledged to.
Orders and multiple orders in one project
Each pledge creates an order.
If you place multiple orders in the same project, each order has its own:
- payment status
- checkout link
- shipping steps
After you sign in, your account shows all orders linked to your email. In projects that support editing multiple orders, pick the order you want to edit from the order list.
Payments
Guest checkout supports the same payment types as other pledges:
- Instant payment: pay during checkout
- Deferred payment: pay later when the project collects payments
- Installments: pay in parts over time
For installments, some actions need a signed-in account:
- Retry an installment payment only works for signed-in users.
- Paying off the full installment plan early only works for signed-in users.
If a payment doesn’t go through
Check your inbox. Gamefound sends a system email when a payment attempt fails. The email includes a secure button that opens checkout for that specific order.
On the checkout page, re-enter your payment details and complete the payment.
If you use installments, Gamefound follows the standard installment email flow.
Secure email links for guests
Some system emails include a secure link that opens checkout for a specific order. Use it to:
- finish payment
- add your shipping address
- pay shipping
To change the items in your order, sign in and edit the order from Your pledge.
When the link stops working
The link expires either after you pay for the order or after you complete shipping.
If you open the link after it expires, Gamefound opens the project page and shows an Invalid link message.
Endgame and follower gifts
Endgame and follower gifts work differently for guest pledges.
- Endgame
To extend Endgame as a guest, use instant payment.
- Follower gifts
Sign in before you pledge if you want a follower gift. Guest orders don’t qualify, even if you follow the project.
Products with a limit per backer
Some items have a purchase limit per backer. Sign in to add those items to your pledge.
When you browse as a guest, Gamefound disables Add to pledge for limited items and blocks them in checkout.
