Analytics of pledge sources

Internal sources


The values are defined based on the user's first interaction in a session.

E.g., if a user visits gamefound.com, clicks a featured project, and places a pledge, this pledge will be attributed to the "homepage-featured" source.


creator - users who made an order in a project selected from the creator's profile

profile - users who made an order in a project selected from their profile

info-banner - users who made an order after clicking the info banner (displayed between featured and active projects)

mailing - users who made an order using a link sent in an email (like emails for followers, newsletter)

direct - any other internal traffic source (we're working to break it down into specific sources)

search - users who made an order after finding a project using search or exploration on gamefound.com

homepage-topactive - users who made an order after clicking a project in the "active" section

homepage-featured - users who made an order after clicking a project in the "featured" section

recommendation - users who made an order after clicking a project in the recommendations (projects you may like on gamefound.com or in emails)

homepage-upcoming - users who made an order after clicking a project in the "upcoming" section

project-advert-banner - users who made an order after clicking a project in the top banner

Values explained


Channel - the source of traffic

Traffic - number of sessions from this channel

Pledges - how many pledges were placed through this channel

Pledge value - the value of pledges placed through this channel

Pledge share - the pledge value of this channel divided by the sum of pledge values
