What is Adfound and how does it work?
What is Adfound?
Adfound is a tool designed to boost marketing for your crowdfunding project. With just a few simple steps, you can launch ads on Meta platforms: Facebook and Instagram. You don’t need a Meta account to run ads with Adfound; your ads will be displayed on our established accounts.
With Adfound, you can run marketing campaigns for your upcoming projects to gain followers and for active crowdfunding projects to gain backers. In both cases, to create a marketing campaign with Adfound, your project must have at least 1000 followers.
Campaigns in the "Upcoming" phase are not charged. Marketing for crowdfunding is charged a 5% fee on total marketing revenue. This means you are charged 5% of the money that the ads generate. After the campaign, you will receive an invoice including the system revenue commission. You can monitor your spending and fees via the dashboard, with data synchronized periodically.
Adfound automatically optimizes campaigns based on real-time data. It adjusts your ad delivery to maximize results, ensuring your budget is spent on the highest-performing ads. This way, Adfound ensures you don’t waste money on ads that don’t work.
You can schedule your marketing campaigns in advance, allowing you to plan marketing activities around key project milestones, such as crowdfunding launches, new product introductions, or updates. You can also stop your ads at any time, giving you full control over your marketing.
How to run your marketing with Adfound?
1. Decide on the type of your marketing
The first step is to choose what type of marketing you want to run: for your upcoming campaign to gain followers, or for your active crowdfunding to acquire backers.
Adfound marketing for pledge manager phase is in progress.
Once you have decided, proceed to the selected project and click "Project" on the navigation bar at the top - you will see several subsections, click the one labeled "Performance marketing" to proceed to the Adfound dashboard. Please note that only Admin and Marketer user roles can access it.
2. Create your marketing campaign
To create your marketing campaign, you need to provide basic information about your crowdfunding project, set the dates for your marketing, and define your marketing budget.
Based on your crowdfunding project parameters, Adfound will calculate a recommended budget to ensure the best performance of your ads. You don’t need to worry about targeting your audience—Adfound will handle it based on your crowdfunding project parameters and the performance of similar projects.
You can have multiple marketing campaigns for your crowdfunding project: define separate budgets and create different ads for each.
3. Create your ad and add the assets
To launch your ad, simply upload your assets—images and text—and define the duration for your ad to run. The assets will be reviewed to ensure they meet the standards before being submitted to Meta's system. If any improvements are needed, you’ll be notified through the system. The review process may take up to 72 hours.
Based on the images and text you provide, Adfound will create ads in different formats. The more assets you provide, the better your marketing performance will be.
You can have multiple ads within your campaign, but at least one is required to run the campaign.
4. Add funds
To get started with your marketing, you'll need to provide funds. We recommend topping up your budget for the first few days of your campaign, after it’s created and before it begins. If you run out of funds, your ads will stop automatically, but you can top up at any time.
Adfound fees are based on your total marketing revenue, so all the money you add will go toward your marketing. After the campaign, you will receive an invoice including the system revenue commission.
Important: Campaigns promoting upcoming campaigns are commission-free.
5. Activate your campaign
To make your marketing campaign live, you have to activate at least one ad. When you have enough assets approved and funds added to your campaign, your ad is ready for activation. You can pause your ad at any time. If all conditions are met—such as having funds available and staying within the dates set for the campaign—you can reactivate your ad, giving you full control over its publication. The ad will automatically stop on the scheduled date.
